Workshop ScheduleAll workshops are held in the Yoga In the Adirondacks Studio in Bakers Mills unless noted otherwise. Please register with Susanne at Susanne@YogaInTheAdirondacks.com or 518 251-3015. Saturday, January 26, 2013, 1:00pm–4:30pm–Register
Early! Spend the afternoon nurturing and nourishing your body and mind. Studies show restortative yoga creates an overall feeling of wellbeing, improves sleep, and decreases depression, anxiety and stress. (www.livestrong.com/article) Postures are supported by blankets, bolsters and other props and are effortlessly held for several minutes. Let go of doing, and immerse yourself in simply “being.” In this workshop “stations” are set up so you only need to make minor adjustments to the props to accommodate your unique body. Just breathe, relax, and allow the postures to open the flow of energy throughout your whole body. Restorative yoga creates a feeling of deep rest and rejuvenation. Susanne Murtha, RYT, offers tools and support to help people live healthy, happy lives. Teaching in the Adirondacks since 1996, Susanne is a certified Yoga Instructor, Yoga Therapist, Level 3 iRest® Facilitator, Ayurvedic Consultant and ASCM Wellness Coach. She has assisted Judith Lasater, author of Relax and Renew and Ann Greene’s Restorative Yoga Weekend at Kripalu Center in Lenox, MA and has offered this program annually with positive feedback since 2006. $45, early bird registration is $40 if payment is received by 1/16. WORKSHOP REFUND POLICY: The care that Susanne has taken in the creation of Yoga in the Adirondacks studio extends to the respect she gives all that come there. It is a very special place: serene and beautifully connected to the majestic landscape around it. The Energy Play workshop allowed me to connect to
my emotions in a playful way and transform a fearful
tight feeling to one of acceptance and love when I suddenly laughed
all through my body. |
